The Academy Is... - The Phrase That Pays

Let me introduce you, if you haven't already met :)

If anything, you can look twenty years into your future Leah. That should be when it comes to Texas right? :p

It's game time! Are you ready for it?

I went out with mom yesterday to go get her prescriptions. I mostly went so I could go to GameStop and see if I could get another game to play. I've been playing my Zelda game over again. So far, I figured out how to do everything there is to do in the game. I'm thinking I'm going to send it along with the care package to Leah. Did you want to play it? It's The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It's a good game. Let me know :)

So I ended up getting four games. A bit more than the one I planned on, but eh...

The first one I played was Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. I'm already half way through it and I don't really get the point of it. Maybe if I finish it...

I also got Sims Pets 2. That one is cool. I made a Sim version of me, Saddie, and Jaxi. They keep pissing all over my house! That's so nasty! Jaxi keeps digging up my lawn too! Then you have to go fill in the holes and each one takes like hour and a half to do. Hour and a half game time, in case you didn't get that. It's funny to watch Saddie though. They have this catnip mouse that you can give them that she loves getting high off of. When she plays with it she gets bunch of tiny stars that circle around her head and she acts all crazy. It's great.

I haven't played the other two yet: Sonic Heroes (I thought it would be a fun little blast from the past) and Spyro something - I don't remember the full name of the title. I got it to see what all the hype about Spyro is. I've never really played one before. I'm planning on playing these when my head and eyes stop hurting from looking at the screen so much. Does that give you any clue as to how long I've been playing? :p

So, have any of you guys played any of these? 'Cause this post is all for games!

I was killer thirsty

So last Friday Cassie and I went to go see Fall Out Boy in concert. It was kick ass! We met up early at the Wildflower and ate some lunch. Then we kinda sat around a lot waiting for time to pass. We got ice cream and we went to the Walmart near Cricket Pavilion. I was going to buy some food or whatever while we were there to see if I could sneak it in, but I ended up not. Cassie made the good point that they look through all your stuff since the security has been raised everywhere. How disappointing. I love sneaking food into places. Kinda like that time I snuck an ice cream pie into the movie theater. Damn that was good pie....

Anyway, we got to the concert about 5:30. It was supposed to start at 6:00. There was some band playing at the entrance, but there were so many people around that we didn't bother to go see who. Probably just some local band. They had some Hondas that were painted all cool like the Fall Out Boy cd. They had clocks and stuff all over them. Apparently they were part of a drawing of sorts. There was this place that where you could sign up to win one, but I didn't bother. I probably should have. I love Hondas. But then again, it would just be more likely that someone would steal it since it was all customized and stuff.

People were freakin' everywhere. And Cass and I don't usually do well around so many people. They all get in your space and stuff. Or they get right in front of you and then stop to have a five minute conversation where there is no possible way to go around them. So you end up just standing there looking dumbly at them. At least that's what I do. The line for the shirts and stuff was waaayyyy tooo long for us to get into them, so, we went ahead and found our seats. Its really stupid how many people you have to show your ticket to just to go sit down. I must have taken it out like fifty times.

The seats weren't bad. We were right at the aisle so we didn't have to climb over anyone. I love that! Thanks Alice! Good choice. After awhile the first 'band' came out. It's weird but, it was a rapper. Why have a rapper at a rock concert?! His name was Paul Wall - I don't know if I spelled that right. I couldn't understand anything he was rapping about. Not that I cared. Apparently he is famous for selling grills. Not the kind you fry hamburgers on, the kind you put in your mouth. You could actually get one for like thirty bucks while you were there. Why anyone would want to, I don't know. Cassie and I spent most of the time laughing at this white guy who took off his shirt and was getting all into the music. Mean? Yes. But we couldn't help it.

Since we were so enthralled with Paul's performance, we got up in search of something to drink. Cassie was crazy hot since there is no AC and they didn't bother to turn on the fans yet. The heat didn't really bother me. Seeing as how I'm a desert rat and all. A 12 oz bottle of water was $4.00. Shit! Of course they don't let you bring in anything and the drinking fountains are all nasty looking so you really have no choice. We both got one and then went back to our seats.

The next band was Cobra Starship. Cassie said they sucked, but I was digging it. We got up again in search of food. Found pizza. $6.00. Whatever. Went back to our seats to eat. At this point the people who bought seats next to us had shown up. After I finished eating I got up and sat somewhere else. I couldn't stand being so close to so many people (our area had really filled up) in the heat. Cassie stayed there.

When the next band, The Academy Is..., came on I watched from the 300 section. By the time +44 came on, so many people had come that I couldn't see the stage anymore so I moved. I stood behind the 200 section seats. Man, that spot was prime. But then some bitch came up and started yelling at me that I had to go find my seat. Did I mention she was a bitch? I don't see what the big deal was. I wasn't in the way of anybody. Being the passive person I am when it comes to strangers, I just walked away and went back to my seat. Damn. I have no balls. At least it wasn't so hot there anymore since they turned the fans on so, it wasn't so bad.

Apparently Fall Out Boy was recording their first dvd concert that night. That's so cool that they chose Phoenix to do that. I would have thought that they would have picked somewhere else. You know, somewhere better. So, they had all kinds of pyrotechnics and fireworks. It was cool. At one point, two of the band members, Pete and Joe, we out into the crowd for one of the songs they played. They went right where I was standing earlier before I was told to move! That bitch! So, I missed out. :'(

After they finished playing Cass and I rushed over to buy some shirts. That's the best time to go since everyone either already bought their's or they are still standing around at there seats for some reason or another. I got mine really quick. I'm good at weaseling in between people. The thing that I discovered last concert is that there really are no lines at this point. Everyone just jumps in when they can. Cass got lost in the crowd of people since everyone sorta pushes everyone else around. I took her money and then went back in to get her her shirt. She doesn't like to push her way through.

So then we left. On your way out you had to throw away any leftover food or drink that you didn't finish. That sucks since you already spent so much for it. Luckily, we didn't have any leftover. Cass was hungry again by that time so we went to TGIF. I was so damn thirsty that I ordered two waters and a smoothie. I think I drank like five or six glasses. It's a little surprising how thirsty you get from being outside in the heat for that long. Overall, the concert was cool, but I think I will try to avoid going to Cricket Pavillion again. I didn't like it...

Robot Chicken -- The Sack

This is great

For those of you who don't know...

Hey. Update on Rachel incase you couldn't get ahold of her. The first day wasn't as bad for her as the second. A lot of the drugs they gave her lasted at least a few hours after she got home. I think she got a little sleep in her own bed and was probably very happy about that.

The second day (yesterday), was a whole hell of a lot worse. I felt really bad for her. Apparently they casted her foot up wrong so that if she bent her knee, it would press down really hard on her sutures. Also, it was continually pinching the top of her foot. They wrapped it much too tight around the pinkie. She spent hours laying on the floor and crying. Poor thing.

Today we went down to the doctor's office and they removed the cast. Dude, that suture is ugly!! I took a picture of it. It's just the taste of the family, ya know? You could see where her cast was on previously because she had a light bruise all around her toes. It was weird because it was all straight across and everything. Anyway, they put on a new one and she's doing a lot better now. Last I saw she went to sleep and I'm not sure if she got up yet or not.

So, that's the update!

And to summerize:

Heh, no, she didn't call back. Apparently mom deleted it on accident without her ever hearing it. Then yesterday we got a call from the collection agency. I don't even know what is going on, and I plan on staying out of it.

I've done a whole lot of nothing lately. Ever since I threw out my back I haven't gone to the gym. I've been really tired lately too, so that doesn't help. I did go to Goodwill the other day and got a bunch of clothes. They were having a 50% off sale on everything and my friend Shannonn wanted me to go with her. That was fun, 'cept now I have no money :'(.

It's so boring around the house. Whenever I get bored and there's nothing really to do, I cook. So far I've made plain waffles, cinnamon waffles, cinnamon rolls and cinnamon raisen bagels. If I cook anything else, it will not have cinnamon in it!

Rachel had her bone taken out today. I'm sure it hurts. She told me a bit about it and then went to bed. Hopefully she will be able to sleep more now with the aid of the pain pills. They always made me a little sleepy.

I kept Jaxi in her kennel constantly for the first two days, but she was getting all sad and depressed and anytime I let her out to go to the bathroom she would climb all over me like she was trying to apologize for whatever she did wrong that she was being punished for. So, I just let her out in my room. I know Jaxi, she only trys to coherse others to play with her if they are in the living room. In our room: all she does is sleep. That seems to be working out better. She smells really bad though. I want to give her a bath, but I have to wait until she doesn't need to be kenneled anymore. The vet didn't say anything about icing them, I will probably try that next if the kenneling doesn't work. Thanks for the idea Leah!

I'm sleepy. I should go to bed. G'night.
