To Reiterate:

Thanks Leah! I will never forget "Dancing Mud Man with Sombreo." I actually admired it quite a bit when you were out. That picture rocks. I will put up pics of my room when I'm done painting it. It's almost finished. I went through part of my room today and found the stuff I wanted to send you. Hopefully I will be able to ship it out to you soon. I still need to check to see if it will be cheaper to send you the tent through mail or through the airport...

As a side note about your paintings, did you ever find out where they came from...umm, besides Japan. I did a ppt presentation on the ukiyo-e that I could send you. I feel all knowlegable about them now. *puffs with pride*

Anyways, I found out today when I was at my chiro appt that if you need to lose weight that you should be doing 60-90 mins of exercise everyday or most days. That is so discouraging! I never get anywhere close to that. I guess that now I'm going to have to double up on the time I spend at the gym (I say this while eating a bowl of chocolate ice cream :\).

I also stopped by Wal-mart today and bought some oil paints. I know, ritzy right? But they were cheap (I think). I also went online to read about oil painting technique and stuff, it's soo interesting! Seriously. I can't wait to get started! I never thought that painting would be so complicated. I started a list on some of the stuff that I'll need so that I can buy it bit by bit. That way the cost doesn't seem too overwhelming. I already have some canvas panels that I bought a few weeks ago. I think I really just need some OMS and gesso...mostly 'cause I don't like the smell of turpintine...yeah I'm pretty sure that I spelt that wrong. I still have some research to do on it though. I read 'til I didn't want to read anymore for the day. There's still a bunch that I kinda don't understand and I don't want to slather paint all over something and then find out that I've just wasted everything that went into it. It would be easier to take a class and have people explain everything to you, but I don't feel like it.

Jaxi's birthday is next Saturday. I'm going to give her a stuffed crab that I bought for a dollar. She'll love it.

Dude, I've been all into Starcraft lately. I finished the Terran champaign without cheating!!! How cool is that? I've never been able to do that before. I feel so accomplished. Good job me. *pats self on back*

So, yeah. I just realized that I wrote about a bunch of stuff that nobody would care to read. Oh well, I feel the title of my blog explains everything. Hope y'all are doing well.

:D Smiles for you :D

Bunch of stuff no one cares to read? I disagree. This is the blog nature.

Also, Starcraft? Try Starcraft II, which Blizzard announced this morning. They don't know exactly when it's coming out, though, but just in case you're excited to know.

Yeah, here's 3 for 3! Better late than never!! I write about what I want to share.

I would love to see your PPT. I know that the paintings I got came from a popular novel - and I think they were from a Chinese novel. I forgot the name, but I can find out. I love them! I want to finishe them all, and I'm going to paint a copy of the one I gave to Raf's mom for myself! Ha!

I think those who go to school for painting are not really going to learn. Painting comes from your soul. You feel it - you paint. Emulating something that is important to you - enriches you and you create the image of how you see the world. I love it!
