Ok yeah, it does sound a little fishy when you hear that its a 3 day course that I found on the internet, but really, theres more to it. Its merely advertised on the internet. Yes, they do have an online course, which I can't understand for the life of my why anyone would do it that way, but the 3 day course is taught in person in a building downtown. You learn all the basics like how to draw blood on people of all ages, the correct procedure for filling out the paperwork when sending it to the lab, sterilization techniques and so on.
The reason that this course can be whittled down to just 3 days is that they just teach you about phlebotomy. I dont believe any sort of phlebotomy training is required in pre-med. When you go to a trade school, or a community college to learn and be certified in this, they teach you a lot more than just what you need to know. For them, its kinda set up so that they teach their students more of a variety of career options all at once instead of just what they're there for. So yea.
By the way, I thought i posted this before O_o. Sorry about that. Its been saved as a draft all this time -_-.

Cheatery, I say. Shennanigins.
I concur. It sounds all sorts of shady still. You're so bright, I bet you can do much better than just plain old phlebotomy.
You should be a mortician.
Just throwing it out there.
Eh, I don't really think it'll happen. Esther has problems dealing with bugs, let alone dead people.
Plus, you have to consider the stink. Formaldehyde and all that. That shit alone turns my stomach.
Well, I think it sounds like you know what you are getting into. I think it's a good start and if you want to go to college or a different place, you can eventually.
I know they need people of all skill levels in this world, and you don't have to go to college. But here is a statistic I got from PBS - in your working lifetime, a person who has a bachelor's degree will earn $1 million more than someone who only has high school education during their working life. It's worthwhile to do it soon, because you already have 3 associates degrees at a community college.
Granted, you are probably sick of school and you need a break. I would give it a couple years and reevaluate. This seems like a good opportunity for you to get a standard job, and see if you want to settle in, or if you want to pursue higher education.
Good Luck E! I have faith in you!
Good work getting your post in before March was over. Your record is clean! :D
