It's called Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon. From the whole ten minutes I spent researching this, it turns out that in this one you have a sword to fight monsters that live in the caves. I didn't see much of the storyline. Cows, chickens, and sheep seem to be replaced with monsters with attributes close to the counterpart that they replace. The cows kinda looked like a mix between a normal HM cow and Link's wolf form in Twilight Princess. The chickens make me think of chicken-dragons....its odd.
Your monsters don't reproduce and I think they said you can have a total of 80 or 90. You capture them from the caves and I guess domesticate them. There are also other monsters that you can capture and use to fight with you when you explore the caverns and destroy the portals. This made me think of that game Leah let me borrow, Azure Dreams I think it was called. With the monsters, and the dad killing tower...yeah.
You still farm and fish and stuff. I don't know about marrying anybody in the game. I didn't really look that hard. The platform is DS, so, I'm looking to two certain people to tell me all about it. :D *cough*RachaelandMatt*cough*
Kudos to Leah for turning 25! I am throwing a party in your honor that consists of me, my fridge full of booze, and my gamecube. Par-tay!

I know. I heard about it Friday and threw a fit until Matt took me to the store to buy it.
I own it, I own it, I own it. I'm going to start playing today, but I watched a little of the introduction.
It's cute. It's got two screens, so when characters talk on the top screen, you see a nicely drawn version of them. The below screen has more realistic graphics (huge for a HM game) but the characters have arms too long. They look like aliens. So I'll try not to focus on that.
Also, it looks like the characters talk a bit! I'm so excited.
Seriously, though, I foudn out on Friday because I was backtracking through DSFanboy.com, my DS blog, and was checking Tuesday's new releases. And I went nuts.
So anyway, yeah. Maybe you can get a DS for Xmas or something. They're really cool.
See you soon!
It sounds odd.
But it doesn't really matter because the likelihood of me getting a DS to play it on is just slightly better than the chance that I'll encounter a shark account.
Your parties sound alot like the parties I throw. Except mine consist of me, some form of dessert, and the internet.
We must be related.
Okay, so I read all your other postings since July, and I wanted to put my comments here so you don't have to go back in time.
I had one dry socket with my wisdom teeth. Yeah, irrigation of the wounds suck. It was the worst pain ever, but I kept food out of the back of my mouth, and mostly ate things that wouldn't stick, like vegies and meat, no breads or pastas. I ate with the front of my mouth, slowly, and hustled the food to the throat without touching my wounds. It was tricky, but helped the wounds heal faster. Hope you are no longer in pain!
Your drawing is awesome! I am glad you share my love of painting. But I have never used oil. Sounded messy. I love acrylic painting because it's trickier. You have to mix the right color, keep it moist, and apply it fast before it dries. And if you mess up, you can paint over it in layers without affecting the color. But let me know how it is, I may try it out someday.
Thank you for the party in my honor. I hope your booze flowed freely and your gamez were awesome! Is Pappa doing okay? I don't know if you have him in the Sims, but I hope that rascal isn't starting any more fires or jealousy amongst his friends.
Yes, I have lived a quarter of a century. But how much longer? We will never know, but I feel I've done all I can, and I hope that I can keep going for another two or three.
Finally, that new Harvest Moon sounds wierd. Rafy has a DS, he says it's like a RPG, you can marry girls, and he's thinking about buying it. I'll let you know if it's any good!
Lata! Good luck with everything!
